Situated in Taynuilt near Loch Etive
by Oban on West Coast Scotland

Angus's Garden was created out of a mother's love for her son. Angus Macdonald was killed in Cyprus in 1956 and the garden was started the following year. Betty Macdonald's wish was for the creation of a spring flowering garden within a natural woodland setting and for it to be a place of forgiveness and reconciliation.

The garden covers approx nine acres and has been planted with many varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas, as well as other flowering shrubs and trees.

Over the years the informal networks of paths created initially by family and friends have been further developed, and recently 3 colour-coded walks with approx times have been added.

Although primarily spring flowering, the garden is worth a visit at any time of the year as its loch land setting and views over Ben Cruachan and Glen Etive are stunning.
